serves 150,000 girls ages 6 - 18 annually at over 1,400 sites in 350 cities across the United States
and Canada. Learn more about our programs and advocacy at

In-School Programs
Programs are offered in schools all across Leeds and Grenville, as part of the regular school day. Last year 20 schools from all three local school boards partnered with Girls Inc. to offer students in their schools this opportunity. Programs are available for all age groups. To find out how to bring Girls Inc. to your school please contact Bev Heuving at (613) 345-3295 [x103].
Allies in Action
The Girls Inc. Allies in Action In-School program utilizes an interactive, peer-centered approach to change the climate of competition and hostility between girls. Girls learn how to positively navigate social situations and overcome relational aggression, in order to build stronger relationships with other girls; reduce aggressive, hurtful and violent behaviour; increase self-confidence and self-esteem, and improve school achievement and attendance.
This program consists of 16-1 hour sessions delivered to groups of 15-25 girls, ages 11-14, on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Fee $400
Girls Inc. Friendly PEERsuasion
The Girls Inc. Friendly PEERsuasion program is being funded by the Government of Ontario until March 2013. The program consists of 10-1 hour sessions, delivered to groups of 15-25 Grade 5/6 girls on a weekly basis.
