ECONOMIC LITERACY
These programs of four segmented programs each with a slightly different focus:

In It Together: Girls ages 6 to 14 join an exciting 10-week program journeying through the world of business and economic literacy. With volunteers from the community, girls will be taught and encouraged to develop different skills that will enable them to create products to sell in their very own Girls Inc. store. The store will be open for business at the 2006 Dream Auction on May 13. The girls will be able to practice what they have learned and display their hard work and the public will have the opportunity to purchase these products!
She's on the Money: girls as young as six are introduced to basic financial concepts, including money management and investment. Girls look at how money affects us locally and globally and fosters the development of skills needed to be financially self-sufficient.
